Booking Information and FAQ
SiPS.art private parties are great for any get-together, corporate event, birthday party, and more! Choose your favorite painting from our library or we can work together to create a custom painting for your event. We will provide all of the supplies needed: paint, brushes, canvases, easels, paint water containers, and aprons (to wear during the event) are all included. (Tables, chairs, tarps, floor covers, drinks, & food are not included in the cost.) It is recommended to wear clothes that you won’t mind getting paint on, as some materials can stain.
Helpful Booking Tip
SiPS.art is booked regularly on the weekends. The sooner you book, the better your chances are of getting your desired date/time.
The Host (You) Provides
Lighting, Venue, Tables, Chairs, Food, and Drinks. These items are NOT included in the painting party cost.
Cost and Group Size
We prefer to work with private groups of 10 or more people. If you are looking to host an event with over 30 people, please contact us to discuss logistics for the event.

The minimum size for a private group is SIX people. Last-minute additions (no more than five additional people are fine), just let us know ASAP so that we can adequately plan for a larger group.
Deposit Policy | $100
SiPS.art private parties are booked by placing a non-refundable deposit of $100 for events. This is used to hold the desired date/time (after availability is confirmed by SiPS.art.) The date/time is not secure until the deposit is paid, therefore it is best to pay the deposit as soon as you can to get the desired date and time! Once you have paid your deposit your desired date and time slot will be blocked out on the calendar, thus securing your private party. This non-refundable deposit goes toward the final cost of and secures your date and time.
Travel Fee | $0 – $65+
Our home base is in Nevada City, CA but we travel throughout Nevada, Placer and Butte Counties. If you’re further out, give us a call and let’s chat!
00 – 20 miles = $0 It’s on us!
21 – 30 miles = $35
31 – 40 miles = $45
41 – 50 miles = $55
51 – 60 miles = $65
Last Minute Booking Fee | +$75
Booking within 72 hours of the requested date. All funds will be due at the time of booking, plus a +$75 fee
Rescheduling Fee | $0 – $100
Each time a reschedule for your party is requested, a fee may be incurred, due to Sips.art blocking out dates/times directly affecting the availability for other events. (Fee amount and applicability depend on notice given.)
Painting Party Acceptance of Terms
All private parties are subject to our Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy.
Remaining Balance
The remaining balance is based on how many painters there will be for each private party and will be due no later than 7 days before your party or event will not be held. There will be a $20 late fee if the invoice is not paid within 7 business days of the scheduled date. If the remaining balance of the invoice is not paid 48-72 hours before your scheduled party, (or the host is unresponsive,) you will forfeit your deposit and the scheduled painting party will not take place.
In-Person Events
Cancellations or any other changes must be made 72 hours prior to your event in order to receive credit for a future event. Refunds will not be provided and a credit will be issued. Credits must be used within 30 days or else the credits will become void.
If classes are canceled due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, you may opt to have your purchase refunded or have a credit issued for a future event.
Every purchase is a firm commitment to attend the event as we use the funds to hire our artists, pay for supplies, venues, travel expenses etc. Day of the event Cancellations will not be granted, thank you for understanding.
Sorry, there will be no credits or refunds for “no-shows.”
